Hi, My name is Jonathan Belinsky, I am currently enrolled in the Medicine Hat College University Transfer Education program. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, it all started with my love for snowboarding after I became fluid with my skills I began teaching my friends and family. This latter transferred into foreman responsibilities with my construction employers
I believe that if we make learning fun and immersive, each student will be reached. I plan on bringing my love for snowboarding, winter sports and summer sports to the classroom. It is so important to a student’s education that physical activity is present in their lives. Mountain Biking has brought me closer to nature while providing the catalyst for physical activity.
There is just something about the outdoors that brings life to everything. I believe in bringing the outside in, plants and trees will clean the air and provide that much-needed relaxation to any class.
The world is a place everyone should explore, being a dual Canadian / Swiss citizen will allow me to bring a unique perspective to any classroom. With the addition of a mission trip to Ecuador and numerous trips across the United States, my students will be able to get a glimpse of the world that is at their fingertips.
With my Journeyman ticket in Carpentry, I believe I would be a valuable asset to any school. From building drama sets, to leading out Career and Technology Foundations(CTF) classes, my skills go beyond the ability to construct. Creativity is the foundation of any good carpenter.
